“Nobody's ever collected data like this in Minnesota,” says local goat farmer, Tiffany Farrier. Farrier recently teamed up with Extension RSDP to become the state’s first certified halal meat farm.

Before we know it, we will be in “snirt” season. Despite its cute name, snirt is a mix of snow and soil and a sign of wind erosion, a severe problem for gardeners and farmers.
