Aquatic invasive species
Learn how to identify aquatic invasive species (AIS) to protect the water quality of Minnesotan lakes and rivers.
The AIS Detectors program trains volunteers and professionals to make credible aquatic invasive species reports to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. The AIS Detectors program also offers workshops and courses for volunteers interested in citizen science, outreach and education, stewardship and support of AIS programs.
The "Our Lake, Our Legacy" and "AIS Detectors" videos highlight the important work done by volunteers in the AIS Detectors program.
