Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show

Getting ready for and taking part in the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show gives 4-H'ers life skills. It's always a great experience for them and their families.

At this show, you will see 4-H'ers of all ages showing their riding skills in Western and English styles, their knowledge of horses, and teamwork.

5:30 a.m. to end of last class., Open riding

Coliseum

• 5:30 a.m.- 6:30 a.m., Open riding - watch for changes

• 7 a.m., begins the following series of events:                        

  • Hunt Seat Pleasure, grades 13 to 6

  • Pony Hunt Seat Pleasure, all grades

  • Hunt Seat Pleasure Pleasure Type, grades 10+

  • Hunt Seat Pleasure Pleasure Type, grades 9 and under

  • Saddle Seat Pleasure, all grades

  • Saddle Seat Equitation, all grades

  • Grand Champion Hunt Seat Pleasure class at the conclusion of all Hunt Seat Pleasure classes (class consists of winners of each class of Hunt Seat Pleasure)

• 10 a.m. approximately, Hunt Seat Equitation, grades 13 to 6

  • Grand Champion Hunt Seat Equitation class at the conclusion of all Hunt Seat Equitation classes (class consists of winners of each class of Hunt Seat Equitation)

Compeer

• 5:30-6:30 a.m., Warm Up - Training horses only

• 7 a.m., Training Steps 1,2,3,4,5,6 & Achievement Level 6 (split arena event, two levels running simultaneously)
