Getting ready for and taking part in the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show gives 4-H'ers life skills. It's always a great experience for them and their families.
At this show, you will see 4-H'ers of all ages showing their riding skills in Western and English styles, their knowledge of horses, and teamwork.

Events organized by location.
5:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., Open riding
5:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m., Open riding - watch for changes
7 a.m., Barrels, grades 13 to 6
Grand Champion Barrel class at the conclusion of all Barrel classes (class consists of winners of each class of Barrel)
3 p.m. approximately, Equestrians with disabilities
Herdsmanship Awards
4 p.m. approximately, begins the following series of events:
Western Pleasure grades 13 to 6
Western Pleasure Pleasure Type grades 13 to 10
Western Pleasure Pleasure Type grades 9 to 6
Pony Western Pleasure
Grand Champion Western Pleasure class at the conclusion of all Western Pleasure classes (class consists of winners of each class of Western Pleasure)
7 a.m., Western Horsemanship grades 6 to 13 (split arena event, two grades running simultaneously)
Grand Champion Western Horsemanship class at the conclusion of all Western Horsemanship classes (class consists of winners of each class of Western Horsemanship)
1- 4 p.m., Training Horses only - open riding
5- 8 p.m., Open riding for all horses - watch for changes
9 a.m., National Trips
Show office will close ½ hour after the last competitive event or 9 p.m. whichever is first.
