Biosecurity is important to prevent or reduce the spread of infectious diseases. Basic biosecurity principles are universal, though practicing biosecurity will look different for each horse caretaker and facility. This online course will give you an introduction to equine biosecurity.
The horse biosecurity online certification course is a semi-self-paced, 6-week certificate course focused on equine biosecurity practices in the Upper Midwest.
The 6-week course starts on January 9 and ends on February 19, 2023.

The online course is recommended for adult learners (ages 18 and older) but is open to everyone. This course is open to the public and will not result in college credits.
$75
No late fees or transfers. Partial refunds ($65) will be given for cancellations before January 8. No refunds on or after January 8.
To earn a certificate of course completion, participants must earn at least70% on three 10-point multiple choice quizzes and participate in three online course discussions. If you do not want a certificate, you do not have to complete quizzes or course discussions.
