This is a semi-self-paced, 6-week online certification course focused on developing an understanding of how the anatomy and physiology of the horse's gastrointestinal tract interact with the use of feedstuffs and the horse's nutritional requirements.

  • Key nutrients
  • Common and alternative feedstuffs
  • Understanding feed tags
  • How to use equine nutrition information
  • Feeding young, adult, performance, and aged horses

Audience

The online course is recommended for adult learners (ages 18 and older) but is open to everyone. This course is open to the public and will not result in college credits.

Cost

$75

Registration

No late fees or transfers. Partial refunds ($65) will be given for cancellations before Jan. 5. No refunds on or after Jan. 5.

About the certificate

To earn a certificate of course completion, participants must earn at least 70% on course assignments. If you do not want a certificate, you do not have to complete assignments.
