Furry Friends

Furry Friends is a three-session series designed for youth in grades 3-6. Youth investigate animal roles, make nutritious pet treats, create puppet pets and practice pet agility training.

In the series, youth learn how to choose a pet that meets their needs and resources, care for pets responsibly and make pet ownership fun and enriching for both the animal and the owner.

Furry Friends is designed for an after-school program but can be used in any learning environment — 4-H clubs, day camps or classrooms.

Lesson time: Three lessons at 60-90 minutes each
