2. Get involved in a local 4-H club, event, or program.

• Refer to the 4-HOnline enrollment sheet (Google Doc) or contact local 4-H staff for assistance.
• Please note that if you have participated in an 4-H event, program, or club in the past, your 4-H Online account is saved, please do not create a new account. Login using your previous login credentials or contact 4-H staff for assistance. 

• 4-H Online is our enrollment and registration system. This is your family's profile where you'll enroll annually, register for events, identify project interests and more. This is also our main communications tool and most emails will be emailed from 4-H Online. It is important to us an active email as your primary family contact. 

• Youth in grades kindergarten through one year past high school (grade 13) can enroll in 4-H anytime to join a local, regional or statewide 4-H event, club, or program. Your membership will last for one 4-H program year, October 1-September 30. To stay active members must renew membership annually.  

4-H is the largest youth development organization in Minnesota. We offer an out-of-school, hands-on learning program where youth gain valuable life skills through support of 4-H staff, caring volunteers, peers, and community members. 

4-H is open to youth in kindergarten through one year past high school (grade 13). 

Members can choose from a variety of projects, topics and activities to participate in, ranging from science to animals to group activities to camps and much more. Whether you live on a farm or in the city, in a house or an apartment, 4-H is for everyone!

4-H is all about project-based learning. Members can choose a project and learn all about it. There are over 60 plus project areas Aerospace, Robotics, Crafts, Gardening, Animal Science, Performing Arts, Shooting Sports, Photography and much more. 

Many times a member will then take what they have learned in a project area to the local showcase event at the county fair in the form of an exhibit, demonstration or to just share it with their club.

Get the most out of your 4-H experience

• Attend and take part in 4-H club meetings. Contact your club leader with 4-H club questions.
• 4-H focuses on family involvement. Parents are encouraged to attend club meetings to keep informed and to support your children's involvement.
• Parents and adults are key to the success of 4-H; parents can also help as 4-H club leaders, project leaders, helping to bring snacks, planning fun events and providing transportation to meetings and events. 
• Members can choose which projects they want to learn about and what events and activities they want to attend. The more a youth is involved in 4-H, the more they get from the experience. 
• Stay connected to the Roseau County 4-H website and social media outlets to find the most up to date information on news and events in county, regional, statewide, and national 4-H programming. 
• Each month you will also receive a tidbit postcard in the mail and your family email. It shares upcoming information, including a majority of county and regional programs and opportunities for 4-H youth, but also those that may be statewide and national.

Green Acres Club

Cool Clover Kids Club

• Club type and age range: After school club in Roseau for youth Gr. 3-12+

• First Meeting:  Tuesday, October 13 at 3:30-5 p.m. with parent meeting 5-5:30 p.m. at Messiah Church, Roseau (led by Extension Educator, Sandi Weiland)

Dieter Doers Club

• Club type and age range: Community club in the Roseau area for youth Gr. K-12+

Gopher Club

• Club type and age range: Community club in the Salol/Roseau area for youth Gr. K-12+
• What you'll do: Discover youth leadership, community service and a variety of projects.
• First Meeting: Sunday, October 11 at 5 p.m. at Enstrom Town Hall, Salol

Roseau 4-H Shooting Sports Club

• Club type and age range: Community project club in Roseau for youth Gr. K-12+
• What you'll do: Discover youth leadership, community service, and learn about a variety of project areas, including wildlife, archery and air rifle/BB.
• First Meeting: Monday, October 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Roseau County Courthouse Boardroom (meet first Monday of the month)

Grygla Go Getters Club

• Club type and age range: Community club in the Grygla for youth Gr. K-12+

What is 4-H Cloverbud after school club? 

• After-school clubs are for grades K- 2. Discover a wide variety of fun hands-on learning projects. Learn more about local county 4-H after-school clubs.

What is 4-H Thrive Squad? 

• 4-H Thrive Squad is a leadership program for youth in grades 4-8 to mentor younger youth in the Cloverbud after-school program, explore hand-on learning and have fun.

What is the local Ambassador program?

• Build your leadership skills and connect with others.
• Learn basic skills about teaching others, facilitating discussions, and public speaking 
• Learn how to promote 4-H and understanding 4-H
• Explore service planning and program design

Who can join? 

• The 4-H Ambassador program is for all youth in grades 6-12.
•  Roseau County 4-H is looking for two or more members from every club to join our team of outstanding young people to represent Roseau County 4-H and learn to improve club quality through youth voice and leadership.

 2026-2027 Meeting Dates

•  October 4, November 1, December 6, February 7, March 7,  April 11, and May 2, with additional summer meetings and special trips (BLU, Campus Immersion, YELLO) throughout the year.

Who can volunteer?

Adults (anyone age 18+) are welcome to serve as 4-H volunteers. 

What can you do as a volunteer?

Adults who are at least 18 years old and older are welcome to serve as 4-H volunteers. Volunteers can serve in a variety of ways, such as one-time volunteering to help out at a 4-H event, chaperoning a trip, teaching a topic you know a lot about, leading a 4-H club, and more. For some volunteer roles, you will need to complete a background check. Learn more about 4-H volunteer opportunities .
