Schram Vineyards
Schram Vineyards was established in 2008 by Aaron and Ashley Schram. The vineyard operates 10 acres of intensively managed wine grapes, planted with cold-hardy University of Minnesota varieties selected for winter survival and wine quality. These varieties support an on-site winery producing award-winning wines recognized at national and international competitions.
The family operation includes Aaron and Ashley’s teenage children, Axel and Bridget, who are beginning to take on responsibilities within the vineyard, learning hands-on agricultural skills and contributing to the activities of the farm, vineyard and winery.
Schram Vineyards actively supports the local community through donations, fundraising, and partnerships with area organizations. They give tours and presentations to groups such as the Minnesota Farmers Union, garden clubs and local school organizations. The Schrams are members of the Waconia Chamber of Commerce and the Minnesota Wine and Grape Alliance.
The farm collaborates with University of Minnesota horticulture research programs, contributing to cold-climate grape research and helping advance sustainable viticulture in Minnesota.
