Community Climate Leaders - Grand Marais
The Community Climate Leaders Program will teach you how to take climate action in your community and connect with others who are doing similar work.
Schedule
The online course begins on September 28.
In-person sessions will be held at the Cook County Community Center
September 29 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
November 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Zoom sessions will be held between September 28 and November 4, to be scheduled according to participant availability.
Online topics
- Five online modules covering climate change basics.
- What climate change looks like in Minnesota.
- Accessible climate actions you can take.
- How to amplify your impact by working in the community.
- How to integrate climate justice.
- Leadership skills.
In-person sessions include
- Group discussions.
- Climate communication exercises.
- Sharing climate action plans.
- A capstone project to make plans for taking climate action in your community.
- Content that covers "The Climate Action Handbook" by Heidi Roop, a climate action notebook, and other activity materials.
Audience
Anyone interested in learning more about climate change in Minnesota.

Registration is required. You will receive instructions for accessing the online training after you register. Registration closes September 14.
