Scholarship for Waseca County 4-H members

We are pleased to announce that Waseca County 4-H again has a scholarship available for high school seniors who are current (enrolled in 4-H Online) members of Waseca County 4-H.

$1,000 has been allotted for these scholarships. From the applicant pool, a scholarship committee will determine qualified applicants and split the scholarship funds among the selected recipients.

The scholarship application should be completed online. 

As part of the application, you must also email a resume of no more than two pages in length to Amy at [email protected]. The resume should highlight participation in a 4-H club and at the county level or higher, leadership positions held, awards and honors, etc. Note: Your resume does not need to be limited to these items.

Timeline for the scholarship

• April 4 - All scholarship application materials are due by 11:59 p.m. 
• Date TBD - Scholarship interviews will be held over Zoom, beginning at 5 p.m. Applicants will be sent information in April with their interview time and more details about the interview
• July 13 - Scholarship recipients will be announced at the Parade of Champions during the Waseca County Fair at 4:00 p.m. in the Livestock Arena.
• December 2025 - Recipients will be reminded to turn in a copy of their first semester transcript in order to claim their scholarship. Transcripts must be turned in to the Extension office by March 17, 2026, or the recipient will forfeit their scholarship.
