We are excited to honor our Meeker County 4-H youth for all of their accomplishments throughout the year, as well as our deserving volunteers and community supporters for their contributions to our program.
Here you will find all the applications and nomination forms for awards that are available for Meeker County 4-H members, volunteers and supporters.
Applications are due at the Extension office by September 15, 2026!
Exceptions are the club treasurer and secretary books, which will be due with the club charters by October 31.

Member awards
4-H members have the opportunity to apply for this award by sharing about their learning and experiences over the past 4-H year.
Only one youth member will be selected each year to be recognized for this honor.

This award recognizes 4-H members for outstanding contributions to 4-H and the community as citizens and leaders. 4-H is proud of its youth leaders! The Key Award recognizes your contributions to your club and the community, and encourages you to grow as an outstanding citizen.

Records are a great way to reflect on your learning and share that learning with others.
4-H members are honored based on project records submitted during the 4-H year that was just completed.
There are project records and participation summaries. Records should be done one per project completed in the 4-H year. Participation summaries are to be done one per year.
Members who submit their project records will receive project pins for their hard work and accomplishments.

Best set of records
This award recognizes 4-H members for their exceptional record-keeping of their 4-H projects and learning. Eligible 4-H members must complete a compilation of project records for all projects exhibited at the Meeker County Fair that year.
Recognition will be awarded for the top individuals in the basic division (grades 3-5) and experienced division (grades 6+).

The Meeker County 4-H Federation supports up to three Meeker County 4-H members or alumni annually with a $500.00 educational scholarship.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Current Meeker County 4-H member or alumnus.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of 4-H membership, with the last 3 years in the Meeker County 4-H program.
- Demonstrate participation in 4-H leadership roles.
- Currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning.
You may apply up to three years after high school, but you are only eligible to receive the Meeker County 4-H Scholarship once.

This award recognizes our 4-H clubs for all of their hard work, dedication, and service to the community. Each club applying will complete the application together as a club, highlighting their participation throughout the past 4-H year.

This award recognizes a younger 4-H member who has shown enthusiasm through their participation in a variety of 4-H activities and their positive attitude.
To be eligible for this award, a member must be in third, fourth or fifth grade during the current 4-H year. An adult club leader or 4-H volunteer may nominate one or two members to be considered for this award. The nomination should be made without the member’s knowledge, so the awarding will be a surprise.

Club officer awards
For these awards, there is no need to complete an application. Club offficers can submit their materials to the Extension Office by October 31.
Outstanding club officers will be announced by email in early November.
4-H club secretaries who wish to submit their secretary book for judging can bring it to the Meeker County Extension office.
Secretaries' books will be evaluated based on a set of criteria (Google Doc).
4-H club treasurers who wish to submit their treasurer book for judging can bring it to the Meeker County Extension office.
Treasurers' books will be evaluated based on a set of criteria (Google Doc).
4-H club reporters submit their reports monthly to the Meeker County Extension office to be shared with local media sources.
Report submissions will be evaluated based on a set of criteria (Google Doc).
