Invasive species in your woods

During this workshop, participants will learn how to identify and manage common invasive species, such as buckthorn, garlic mustard, and tansy. This will be an interactive, in-person workshop.

Workshop goals

  • Understand the impacts of invasive species on forests.
  • Use iNaturalist and EDDMapS smartphone apps to identify and report invasive species.
  • Identify common invasive species found in forests in Itasca County.
  • Apply prevention and management strategies to control the spread of invasive species and limit impacts on ecosystems.
