Climate resilience for farmers - Northeast

Two-day climate resilience cohorts provide an opportunity to connect with fellow farmers in your area and develop an adaptive whole-farm management strategy that builds on your experience and expertise.

  • Learn more about the potential impacts of increasing climate variability and change on your agricultural operation.

  • Evaluate climate risk management options that best support your farm and family goals by reducing risks and capturing new opportunities associated with changing climate conditions.

  • Make a plan to implement selected climate resilience strategies and evaluate their effectiveness over time.

Hosted by University of Minnesota Extension, Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships (RSDP), the University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership, and the Land Stewardship Project.

Audience

Farmers of specialty crops, row crops, and livestock.

Cost

Free; meals provided.

Registration

The registration deadline is Thursday, October 22.

Attendees are expected to attend the full two-day cohort. Lodging information is included on the registration form for participants planning to stay overnight. You must arrange and pay for your own lodging.
