Join us for 4-H Fuel to Perform, a fun, hands-on six-week virtual cooking and nutrition series for young athletes in grades 7 and up.

Each week, you will cook along from your own kitchens, preparing easy, balanced snacks while learning how food and hydration can support energy, performance and recovery.

You will also learn how to read food and beverage labels, understand what’s actually in the products you choose and think critically about claims on the front of the package.

Throughout the series, we’ll explore

  • Snacks for before and after physical activity
  • Hydration and everyday beverage choices
  • Sports drinks, energy drinks and hydration packets
  • Ingredients commonly marketed to athletes, including protein powders, creatine and added sugar

You will finish the series with practical sports nutrition knowledge, go-to snack recipes and skills to make informed choices about what you eat and drink before, during and after physical activity.

A simple ingredient and kitchen tool list, as well as the Zoom meeting link, will be emailed to registered participants before the program begins.
