4-H at home across Minnesota
“I pledge my hands to larger service..” is not just the 4-H pledge but a practice Minnesota 4-H youth integrate with their daily lives. Thanks to special funding from Compeer Financial, youth across the state partnered with local food shelves and nutrition organizations to support neighbors in need.
In 4-H, youth are building leadership skills for the future and today. Programs like 4-H Horse Project are just one of many opportunities youth in 4-H have to authentically partner with others, build leadership skills and become change agents.
Although COVID-19 changed how we socialize with others, 4-H maintained steady opportunities for families to learn, make connections and find joy in their communities. 3,520 youth engaged in 4-H programs across Northeast Minnesota last year.
