Seifert Farm
Spencer and Shelby Seifert purchased their family farm outside of Longville in 2015. As first-generation farmers, they have built fences and buildings and have established a herd of cattle over time to create the cow/calf operation they run today. The cattle operation is primarily grass-fed, and Spencer and Shelby work to keep inputs low and the system as natural as possible.
The farm has been a family endeavor, with Spencer’s father, Steve, and his brother Tyler helping with everything from fencing to haying and mechanics.
The previous owner of the main farm, Gloria Larson, who turns 98 this year, is a big supporter and is proud that the farm is still in operation.
Spencer and Shelby, along with their children, Cora and Sutton, are active in their local church and support the community when they can, including through Cora and Sutton’s wrestling team.
