Jackson County 4-H’ers looking for funding to assist with registration and or participation costs for 4-H camps, workshops, education events, and more are encouraged to apply!

Attend a Federation Meeting and give an overview of what you did.
To apply
- Submit the online form application the Friday before the upcoming Jackson County 4-H Federation Meeting.
- Application must be completed by the Jackson County 4-H member.
Jackson County 4-H Legacy Fund is to advance the work of Jackson County 4-H youth by providing funds to make a capital investment in a 4-H project area where they would not otherwise be able to fund the purchase.

Available year-round; however, applications must be submitted at least one month prior to the next scheduled federation meeting.

Youth fill out a budget form and an online application answering the following questions in each category:

Scholarship for applicants who must show leadership, commitment and participation in Jackson County 4-H by completing this application in its entirety.
Amount
At least one applicant will receive a minimum award of $500. The remaining funds will be distributed among other applicants as determined by the scholarship committee.
Deadline
Applications are due to the Jackson County Extension Office on or before April 15 of the current 4-H year, by 4:30 p.m. Late applications and or online entries will not be accepted.
Requirements
- Must have completed at least 4 years in Minnesota 4-H, preferably Jackson County 4-H.
- Must be a member of a Jackson County school district’s high school graduating class of the current year
- Must be newly enrolled in some form of higher education (Four-year College, Vocational/Technical College, etc.)
- Applicants must show leadership, commitment and participation in Jackson County 4-H by completing this application in its entirety.
- Must attain a minimum of 2.0 GPA on their unofficial transcript for the eligible semester.

- Complete the online application form, or submit a typed (strongly recommended) application to the Jackson County Extension office via mail or email at [email protected]. Application must be postmarked on or before the deadline. No late applications will be accepted.
- Your application will remain anonymous while the scholarship committee reviews applications.
- Winners will be selected on the number of answers provided in the table areas as well as answers to essay questions.
The family of Andrea Ruesch established a 4-H scholarship in memory of her dedication and contributions to the Minnesota 4-H program. Based on the family's belief in positive youth development, the focus of this scholarship is on demonstrated learning through hands-on experience and using what you have learned to help others (youth leadership).
Award Amount:
This is a one-time $1000 scholarship and at least four scholarships will be awarded annually.
Requirements:
4-H members who are high school seniors or first-year college students. Must currently be enrolled in one of the counties listed: Chippewa, Cottonwood, Jackson, Martin, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Rock or Watonwan.
