Welcome to the first edition of ExtensionMN, a new publication that showcases how University of Minnesota Extension’s educational programming makes a difference for people and communities throughout the state.
Each of the brief stories in ExtensionMN includes a link to a longer online version with additional photos, video and other resources. The new format reflects the ways you have told us you prefer to receive information, and it allows Extension to manage its resources as costs for printing and mailing have steadily increased. Like its predecessor, Source magazine, ExtensionMN will be published in print twice a year, with monthly email updates. You can find the online version of ExtensionMN at z.umn.edu/ExtensionMN.
One of the most important stories that you can expect to read about in both the print and online versions of ExtensionMN will be the $35 million private fundraising campaign for renovations of the 4-H Building at the Minnesota State Fair. After a successful run at this year’s State Fair, construction has begun and I can’t wait for the grand re-opening at the 2027 fair.
