Minnesota 4-H State Ambassador
Hello!
My name is Laura and this is my first year as a Minnesota 4-H State Ambassador. I have been in 4-H for eight years and I am excited to continue my journey in 4-H through being a State Ambassador.
Celebrating National 4-H Week
We recently celebrated National 4-H week with a five-day series of themes that 4-H'ers could participate in to show their support for the program.
This year, our themes were:
- Make a Difference Monday
- Thankful Tuesday
- Wear it Wednesday
- Throwback Thursday
- Future Friday
Many Minnesota 4-H'ers posted photos and shared memories of their contributions and time spent in 4-H, connecting the program all across the state.
Unforgettable moments at National 4-H Conference
An exciting opportunity coming up soon to apply for is the National 4-H Conference.
The National 4-H Conference is the “flagship youth development opportunity of USDA," hosted by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).
The 2026 National 4-H Conference will take place April 10-15 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia.
It is an engaging opportunity for 4-H'ers across the U.S., ages 15-19, to share their voice and thoughts on questions by federal agencies asking for youth input.
As a 2025 delegate from Minnesota at the National 4-H Conference, I can truly say that it was a life-changing experience.
Staying in a hotel by Capitol Hill, meeting 4-H'ers across the world and getting to speak in front of federal agencies (in my case, NASA), made it an unforgettable experience. I still stay in touch with friends from New York, South Carolina, The Marianas Islands, Puerto Rico and so many more places!
To add the cherry on top, Minnesota delegates often get to meet with U.S. representatives and senators, as well as tour the Smithsonian museums and historical monuments.

Spread cheer and happiness
As we are entering into autumn and starting to cozy up as it gets colder, let us all remember to be grateful for all things that come our way and share that happiness with others.
Whether it be holding the door open for someone, sending a note of appreciation or even just giving someone a compliment; let’s all try to spread some cheer and happiness.
