Counties across Minnesota are invited to compete for a coveted 2026 bonus trip by producing an educational video focused on meat goat safety collars.
The 4-H State Meat Goat Committee has announced that one of its four 2026 meat goat bonus trips will be awarded to the county that submits the highest-rated informational video on proper safety collar use.
The winning county will earn the bonus trip but will be ineligible to receive another meat goat bonus trip in 2026.
Entries are limited to one submission per county, and completed videos must be submitted by April 1, 2026.
Required content
Videos must clearly address the following topics:
- Identification of proper safety collars to use
- Proper fit and correct use of safety collars
- Effective training methods
Submissions will be evaluated on inclusion of required content, technical accuracy, clarity of communication and overall video appeal.
Submission guidelines
Videos must be:
- Between 3–5 minutes in length
- Filmed horizontally
- Created using original material that complies with copyright laws
Participants may choose to film in one continuous shot or incorporate edited elements such as slides, music and titles.
Completed videos must be uploaded through Qualtrics.
All 4-H members appearing in the video must be enrolled in 4-H Online and have accepted the 4-H media policy.
By submitting a video, counties grant the University of Minnesota permission to use the content for educational purposes on its website and social media platforms. Submitted videos may be edited or refined to meet University of Minnesota requirements.
