Work Experience

Denise works to build the leadership and civic engagement capacity in individuals and organizations in North Central Minnesota communities. She has over 30 years of experience in formal and nonformal education and project management in the United States, Europe and Africa. Currently, Denise co-leads the U-Lead Advisory Academy, a statewide leadership cohort for stakeholders, partners and volunteers of Extension. She is also involved in regional programs focused on environmental issues. Finally, Denise believes in using positive psychology research and practices in the design and deliverance of her programs to increase the well-being of individuals and in turn, their communities.
