Taking a Parents Forever™ course will help you learn valuable skills and tools. This will help to reduce the effects of the family transition on yourself and your children.
After completing a Parents Forever™ course, you will be able to:
Describe the family transition journey and how each family member will be affected.
Recognize the role of self-care, parent-child relationships, and co-parenting in child well-being.
Identify internal and external resources and strategize how to leverage these resources to promote resilience for all involved.

The registration fee for the entire Hennepin County Parents ForeverTM program at True Foundation Counseling Services is $125.
True Foundation will use a sliding fee scale in some cases and or pertaining to court referrals when permissible. Please contact John for all sliding fee questions at 763-657-1551.
About the facilitators
True Foundation Counseling Services, in partnership with the University of Minnesota Extension is hosting this program. True Foundation also has service agreements with Sherburne, Wright, Anoka, Scott, Carver, Mille lacs and Carver counties to provide for the courts, Drug and Alcohol Assessments, Domestic Abuse Groups, Anger Management and DWI services for Hennepin, Ramsey, Wright, Sherburne, Dakota, Scott and others.
The course is taught by two instructors:
John Maclin is a Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor, Substance Abuse Professional and Certified Employee Assistance Professional. John is currently the Director at True Foundation with over 23 years of experience in the counseling field.
Nikisha Simmons-Maclin, is currently Licensed as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Director at Renewed Life Counseling Services. Nikisha obtained her Addiction and Criminal Justice Degrees at Metro State University.
