Fairs and exhibits
- Make a toy, game, puzzle, puppets, etc. from new or recycled materials.
- Make a babysitting travel kit, including one item you made yourself.
- Write an original book, story, poem, play, activity book or cookbook for children.
- Make a video, presentation or display about children and/or families.
Future study and careers
Everyone goes through childhood, and understanding the earliest years of life is a fascinating course of study. You could study child psychology or early childhood development at the University of Minnesota or elsewhere.
Child psychologists help children and families with mental processes and health. Preschool teachers help children to thrive in the classroom and in life. Child care workers look after children in their homes or at child care centers. Every future parent can benefit from learning about child development.
