Parents Forever™ In-Person Course – Martin County
Taking a Parents Forever ™ course will help you learn valuable skills and tools. This will help to reduce the effects of the family transition on yourself and your children.
After completing a Parents Forever ™ course, you will be able to:
Describe the family transition journey and how each family member will be affected.
Recognize the role of self-care, parent-child relationships, and co-parenting in child well-being.
Identify internal and external resources and strategize how to leverage these resources to promote resilience for all involved.

All classes take place at Fairmont Elementary School (714 Victoria Street, Room 1017, Fairmont, MN, 56031).
The registration fee for the entire Martin County Parents Forever ™ program is $50.
Contact the Martin County court administrator (507-238-3205) to see if you qualify for a reduced fee or fee waiver.
If you are unable to submit the full course fee with your registration, contact 507-235-3141 before the start of class to discuss payment installment options.
About the facilitator
Fairmont Community Education, in partnership with the University of Minnesota Extension, is hosting this program.
The course is taught by Patti Mathews, a licensed parent educator. She has taught in an early childhood family education classroom since 2005. She has taught Parents Forever™ in Martin County since 2012.
Fairmont Community Education has been partnering with the courts to offer Parents Forever ™ for over 20 years.
The course is offered as a three-day class session series. If you are court-ordered by a Minnesota court to take a course like Parents Forever, you need to complete all three class sessions in a course series.
