Wilkin County Farm Family

CCC Hought

CCC Hought is a multi-generational farm led by brothers Curt and Calvin (third generation) and Carter, the son of Curt (fourth generation). They grow sugarbeets, corn, sunflowers and soybeans, with an emphasis on conservation tillage and wildlife habitat. Their operation has engaged in multiple stewardship programs through the Natural Resources Conservation Service, including conservation, soil health and soil carbon monitoring.

Curt and his spouse, Cheri, are the parents of Carter, Carson and Collynn. Calvin and his spouse, Lexi, are the parents of Mariah, Briar and Ariel. Carter and his spouse, Alli, are the parents of Mila, Letti and Sutton. The family is active in their community through local churches, youth groups and schools. Calvin serves on the school board. Curt and Carter are members of the youth hockey board. Outside of farming, the family enjoys time together outdoors hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time together at the lake.
