4-H clover White Earth 4-H youth participate in the True Leaders in Equity Institute

Two White Earth 4-H youth, along with other 4-H'ers across the state, attended and presented at the True Leaders in Equity Institute, an inclusive teen event held in Washington, D.C. The event is planned and facilitated by the National 4-H Council, with support from Minnesota 4-H.

The White Earth 4-H youth members presented their equity project, "Food Accessibility for Indigenous Americans."

In addition to giving a presentation, they had the opportunity to attend peer-to-peer presentations. Through these presentations, the White Earth 4-H youth participants gained a deeper understanding of equity and inclusion to build upon their learning of the equity work they already do in their community and developed skills in equity leadership.

It was also a great opportunity for them to explore Washington, D.C.
