4-H clover Stearns County 4-H 2025 day camps registration is open

Triple the fun! Three themes are offered in different communities throughout Stearns County. Sign up for one or all, and dive into fun with Stearns County 4-H! 

Stearns County 4-H Day Camp Adventures are open to all youth in grades K-5


Camp 1: Take to the sky!

Campers will dive into the thrilling world of rockets! Through hands-on activities and creative projects, youth will learn about the science of flight, the history of aviation, and the principles behind rockets and airplanes. Campers will also explore the excitement of building and launching their own rockets! This camp is offered the following dates in the following locations: 

  • June 12 at the Holdingford Elementary School
  • June 17 at the Val Smith Park in Sartell
  • July 10 at the Frogtown Park in Cold Spring
  • July 15 at Jaycee Park in Sauk Centre
  • July 22 at the North Park in Albany

Camp 2: Moo, Cluck, Baa: Barnyard Bash

This lively day camp will take campers on a fun-filled adventure to explore farm life, from caring for animals to learning about agriculture and farming practices. With a focus on animals like cows, chickens, and sheep (and even some fun animal-inspired crafts), kids will gain an appreciation for where our food comes from and how animals and plants are interwoven in farm life. This camp is offered the following dates in the following locations: 

  • August 12 at North Park in Albany
  • August 14 at Frogtown Park in Cold Spring

Camp 3: Plants and Pollinators 

In partnership with the Stearns County Extension Master Gardeners, campers will explore plant life and how pollinators help to make the food and flowers we see everyday! This camp is offered:

  • June 16 at Rockville County Park in Rockville 

Camp details

  • All camps run from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Cost is $15 per youth, per camp
  • All campers are asked to wear sunscreen, bring a bag lunch for the noon meal and a water bottle; a snack will be provided.  
  • Non-4-H youth: Must complete a 4-H participant form prior to camp, in addition to the online registration.
  • Medications: If your child requires medication during camp, you will need to complete the authorization form and bring it to camp.
  • Camp will be cancelled for bad weather or low numbers (less than 10). All participants will receive an email if camp is cancelled.
  • Registration is due one week prior to camp date. Payment must be mailed in before the day of camp to allow staff to focus fully on the campers.
