Local showcase events begin in early July with the Dog Show, Sherburne Showcase and conclude with the Poultry Show at the County Fair! The Sherburne County 4-H County Fair registration deadline is Tuesday, June 13th! This gives you about a month to sign up for what you plan to exhibit at the fair.
*Note: Enrolling in 4-H does not mean that you have signed up to participate in the fair. Enrolling in 4-HOnline is the first step. Annual 4-H enrollment in 4HOnline does not indicate which projects you intend to take to the fair (when you select projects as a part of your enrollment, you are simply indicating which areas you are interested in). Registering for the projects you would like to take to the fair is done after enrollment, and is a separate process done in FairEntry.

- Use the Sherburne County 4-H Premium Book to help you decide what projects to exhibit and to ensure you are clear on all guidelines for each area. This guide will help you prepare to participate in Sherburne County 4-H at the County Fair. There are suggestions for project ideas and in some cases, guidelines on what components a project must have. Please read carefully and contact staff if you have questions about where a project should be exhibited.
- Once you know what projects you plan to show at the fair to be judged, the next step is to register for fair! You may do so online at sherburne.fairentry.com To register for 4-H at the county fair using FairEntry, each youth must be enrolled as an active 4-H member and you must know your 4-H Online family login (email address and password). You use the same login information for BOTH systems. If you do not know your 4-H Online login information, follow the prompts to have your password reset. DO NOT attempt to create a new profile. If you have trouble, please contact Kellie Bossen at the 4-H extension office for help.
- Submit your fair registration on FairEntry by Tuesday, June 13. This includes exhibit building projects, Sherburne Showcase performances/presentations, and animal entries.
Reminders…
- Register for ALL classes and projects that you plan to bring to the showcase event or fair at the time of registration.
- Project limits for exhibit areas are listed in the premium book.
- Missing the June 13 deadline may jeopardize your eligibility for Champion, Reserve Champion, Merit awards, or State Fair trips.
- 4-H club leaders will complete a separate registration for all club projects. Limited to one entry, per category.
- If you plan to bring an animal to the fair, please also complete the housing request form to indicate how much space is needed for your animal(s) at the fair.
- Livestock Housing Request Form (for Poultry, Rabbit, Sheep, Goats, Llamas/Alpacas, Beef, Dairy, & Swine animal projects)
- Horse Housing Request Form (for Horse, Pony & Miniature Horse animal projects)
