4-H clover Seeking Sherburne County 4-H Committee Representatives

  • Joint PDC / County Fair Committee (meets 3-4 times/year - next meeting January): Plan/coordinate county fair shows and events, provide judge recommendations, working together across project areas, collaboration/cross-education opportunities, plan LQA&E training, review premium book and fair schedule, assist in volunteer recruitment to ensure a quality county fair experience for all 4-H'ers.
  • Food Stand Committee (meetings monthly leading up to the fair, beginning in January): Community Building, Education/Training, Community Outreach during fair, Fundraising & income generation, and other responsibilities to prepare for the operation of the management and execution of the annual food stand fundraiser at the county fair.
  • Community Outreach/Promotion (meets as needed beginning in early spring): Mentor new families, develop resources for new families, curate list of Project Meetings/Opportunities, Orientation, National 4-H Week, Tractor Supply Clover Drives, Parades, Community Expos, and more.
  • Finance & Management Committee (meets twice a year in March & August): Assist in creating a budget proposal (August), budget check-in (March), determine if fundraising efforts are needed based on financial goals of the management committee, Create/Implement Fundraisers, can approve expenses not included in the annual budget up to $500.

Thank you to the club representatives who have already signed up for these committees. We are looking for a few more representatives on each committee to round things out and ensure those passionate are able to contribute.
