Join other youth from Rice County to learn some basics about vegetable gardening on Saturday, May 21 from 11:00 am - noon at the Rice County 4-H Building. 4-H is teaming up with our Master Gardeners for a morning that will include fun, hands-on education. Participants will have the opportunity to start a container garden, choosing between green beans or a tomato plant. They will learn the basics of planting or transplanting, tips and tricks to care for your plants with a goal of successful harvest, along with a glimpse of what to expect if you'll be using it as a fair project.
This opportunity is free of charge and open to all ages but content will be geared towards beginning gardeners. Please register interested participants in 4HOnline by Wednesday, May 18 to assure that we have enough supplies.
