Following a second place finish at the MN State 4-H Livestock Judging contest in August the team qualified for the National 4-H Livestock Judging Contest at the National Western Roundup in Denver, CO.
The team comprised of Tyenna Muller, Will DeBates, Brooklyn Goelz, Breelee Berkenpas and alternate Taylin Muller competed at the contest on Friday, January 6. The contest was made up of 12 classes of cattle, sheep, hogs and goats in addition to six sets of oral reasons. The team learned a lot and had some successes, earning first as a team in swine, fifth in cattle, and ninth overall. Will DeBates also placed first in swine, and tied for tenth overall. Congrats team!
