The Koochiching County 4-H Horse Show took place at the Northern Minnesota District Fair on Friday, July 12. There were 10 riders registered in the senior, junior and novice age levels.
In each event class throughout the show, the judge assigns a ribbon placing to each rider. Blue ribbon rankings translate into points.
Here are the youth who acquired the highest point totals for the day:
Performance – Senior High Point: Reserve Champion Colter R. (Ray) on Major
Performance – Junior High Point: Maci Z. (International Falls) on Chance
Performance – Novice High Point: K. Mae Marble (Ray) on Hustlers Yellow Rose
Games – Senior High Point: Mary R. (Littlefork) on Mick
Games – Junior High Point: Matthew R. (Littlefork) on Josie
Games – Novice High Point: Grand Champion Lyndi R. (Littlefork) on Pistol Petey
Also participating in the horse show were Madelyn H. (Littlefork) on Addy, Cody R. (Ray) on Davis, Sylvia V. (International Falls) on Payday and Liv W. (International Falls) on Penny.
Those advancing to the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show on Sept. 12–15 include Colter R., Cody R., Mary R., Matthew R. and Liv W.
