Goodhue County 4-H has the following scholarships available to graduating 4-H seniors:
Brett Duden Memorial Scholarship
This $200 scholarship award is given to one Goodhue County 4-H member who is a senior or first-year college or technical college student, pursuing an agricultural related field. This scholarship is sponsored by Duane and Jackie Duden and is awarded at the County Fair Awards Ceremony (scholarship is received after completing first year of college). Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before June 12.
James Bryan Memorial Scholarship
One $250 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior or college freshman who is a Goodhue County 4-H member and enrolled in the Beef, Sheep or Swine project. This scholarship is sponsored by the Bryan Family and is awarded at the County Fair Awards Ceremony. Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before June 12.
Billy Pohlman Memorial Scholarship
One $250 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior or college freshman who is a Goodhue County 4-H member and enrolled in the Dairy project. This scholarship is sponsored by the Pohlman Family and is awarded at the County Fair Awards Ceremony. Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before June 12.
4-H Leadership Scholarship
Three $1,000 scholarships are awarded to three graduating seniors who have shown exemplary leadership in the Goodhue County 4-H program and who will be pursuing a post high school education next year. These scholarships are sponsored by Goodhue County 4-H Council and are awarded at the County Fair Awards Ceremony (scholarship is received after completing first semester of college). Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before June 12.
4-H Kiwanis Scholarship
One $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior involved in Goodhue County 4-H who demonstrates leadership skills and a dedication to the community. This scholarship is sponsored by the Red Wing Noontime Kiwanis and is awarded at the recipient's high school awards ceremony. Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before May 1.
