4-H clover Chippewa, Kandiyohi, & Swift County LQA Training

Again this year, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, and Swift County are partnering to host livestock quality assurance (LQA) training for youth needing to complete level 1 and level 2. Contact your local Extension office to determine if you are in need of training.

Date: Monday, June 26
Time: 9 a.m. - Noon
Location: Red Barn at Louriston Dairy (6008 90th Ave NE, Murdock)

Any youth that plans to exhibit livestock at the Minnesota State 4-H Livestock Encampment must complete their LQA training before their local county fair.

LQA training is a free in-person training and is valid for three fair seasons. There are two levels of certification:

  • Grades 3-5: Do not need to complete LQA training.
  • Grades 6-8: Take Level 1 training, if you are certifying for the first time. Take Level 2 if you have previously been certified.
  • Grades 9-11: Certify at Level 2

No cost to attend. Breakfast will be provided. Register in 4-H Online, space is limited.
