Horse clinics

Improve your skills. All clinics held at Carver County Fairgrounds, Waconia. Enter the west gate by the arena.

Game clinic

Beginner and Advanced. Wednesdays, June 7, 14, 21 with June 28 as a rain make up date.
Time: Beginner 5-6:30 p.m., advanced 6:30-8 p.m.
Clinician: Mary Reynolds
Cost: $60, maximum of $100 per family per clinic

Pleasure clinic

Pleasure clinic-Mondays, July 10, 17, 24 with July 31 as a rain make up date.
Time: Beginner 6-7:30 p.m. and Advanced 7:30-9:00p.m.
Clinician: Karen Clark
Cost: $60, maximum of $100 per family per clinic

Practice Nights

Practice nights are open to all 4-H Horse Project Members to improve their skills. It is your responsibility to ensure that there are 2 screened volunteers present before riding.

All youth must follow the MN 4H Horse Project rule book, including the helmet policy. Cloverbuds must follow the MN 4-H Cloverbud Animal Policy.

PRACTICE NIGHT VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

All youth need to be enrolled in 4-H and the project.
*Walk/Trot times will be established each night by adult volunteer*
At the discretion of the screened volunteers, permission may be granted for games practice, on designated pleasure nights ONLY IF there are NO pleasure riders present

Fair Information

August 8-13, 2023 - 4-H at the Carver County Fair
June 1- July 10, 2023-Fair registration through FairEntry. Enter your horse into the horse shows.
July 10, 2023-Intent to stall form due to office. All horse exhibitors need to submit a form.
