4-H clover 2022-2023 Meeker County 4-H County Meetings

All meetings are held at the Meeker County Extension Office located on the Meeker County fairgrounds, 1230 N. Armstrong Ave, Litchfield, MN 55355

Meeker County 4-H Federation

Federation is the overall governing body of the Meeker County 4-H program. They oversee all of the financials, make decisions on events and programming opportunities for our youth, develop guidelines, promote youth in learning and leadership exploration, and more! 

These meetings are open for all 4-H families to attend.

Meeker County 4-H Leaders Council

Council consists of the 5 elected county youth officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, Reporter, Treasurer), the Adult Treasurer, and the 8 Council zone representatives.  The 8 county 4-H clubs are divided into 4 zones, with one youth and one adult representing each zone. Each zone representative will serve a two-year term. 

Zone 1: Danielson Hustlers & Koronis Eager Beavers
Zone 2: Dassel Lamplighters & Valley Victors
Zone 3: Cosmos Comets, & Kimball Kruisers
Zone 4: Forest City Livewires & Litchfield Satellites

Officers and zone representatives meet to discuss program direction, events, activities and issues that will help to build and strengthen the county 4-H program. The Council is an advisory committee that makes recommendations to the federation on budget, programming, fundraising, and other business items.

Meeker County 4-H Ambassadors

This group of youth leaders in grades 6+ promotes 4-H and helps support the program at a county level.

Exhibit Building Committee

This group consists of at least one adult and one youth representative from each club. They are responsible for the 4-H Exhibit Building - making updates, changes, maintaining displays, layout, and more! They typically meet in April, May, June, and September prior to the Federation/Council meeting.

Foodstand Committee

With representation from each club of one adult and one youth, this group works to help make our 4-H Foodstand run smoothly during fair. They work very closely with our foodstand manager to secure item donations, decide menu and item pricing, equipment maintenance and upgrade needs, and more! They typically meet in March, April, May, June, and September prior to the Federation/Council meeting.
