Flavia Correa and Carrie Warmka are a duo of 4-H'ers in Martin County who delighted Minnesota State Fair-goers this year with their beautiful harp music. Flavia and Carrie won a purple ribbon for their rendition of Habanera Gris, by Alfred Rolando Ortiz. Rachel Christensen of Albert Lea teaches them.

Flavia

Flavia is entering ninth grade in Fairmont and is a longtime 4-H'er whose father grew up in the program. She has also done 4-H archery and other fine arts and performing arts. She aspires to become a software producer.

Carrie

Carrie is entering ninth grade in Alden, and is new to 4-H, but finding it a good way to make friends. She would like to study medicine and become an obstetrician.

Featured on Pioneer TV

They are two of the young Minnesotans saluted this year by Pioneer TV. What started as a telecast of the annual 4-H livestock auction has grown into a program about the ways 4-H helps young individuals grow. Watch the 4-minute video of Flavia and Carrie on Pioneer TV's website and enjoy the music.

Visit Pioneer TV to watch the full 30-minute episode of Minnesota 4-H: Growing True Leaders, which also features other 4-H youth at the Minnesota State Fair from around Minnesota and gives an up-close look at a club of first-generation 4-H youth in Milan.
