Extension's key partnership in the Military Families Learning Network
MFLN is excited to announce the 2021 Military Family Readiness Academy series, “Disaster and Hazard Readiness in Action.” As a continuation of the 2020 Academy series, we build on the basic concepts of disaster and hazard management, including impacts and responses, planning, collaboration and mitigation.
Through eight online learning sessions, this series prepares military family service providers and Extension educators to support the readiness and well-being of military families during disasters and hazards in areas such as caregiving, children and family needs, nutrition and finances. Dialogue is a central component of this series — lessons learned, resources, and insights are shared across panelists and speakers, and participants are encouraged to contribute as much as possible.
Continuing education credits are free and available throughout the series. Please visit the MFLN homepage to learn more about each session and the credits offered.
Join us for this entire series and bring your unique experiences dealing with disasters and emergencies to the discussion. Your perspective helps others as they face similar challenges.
If you have any questions about this series please visit the homepage or email Anita Harris Hering at firstname.lastname@example.org.
