Cook without a kitchen

Cooking without a kitchen — yes you can do it

Are you self-quarantining? Living in a room without a kitchen? You can still eat fulfilling and nutritious meals. The Cooking Without a Kitchen menu kit has ideas and suggestions for preparing food in three different scenarios:

  • You have no appliances or equipment
  • You have hot water available
  • You have a refrigerator, microwave and hot water available

Developed by experienced nutrition educators, the meal suggestions include tasty treats like fruit crisp, easy Spanish rice, and Minnesota hot dish. The menu kit also includes food safety guidelines and preparation tips. If you’re looking for a practical approach to food preparation without access to a kitchen, check out our Cooking Without a Kitchen guide.
