2020 Minnesota 4-H county showcase events
This year, due to COVID-19, judging events will look a little different. 4-H'ers will still be able to have their projects judged at the county level, but this judging will look different from one county to the next, depending on local conditions. Find out about judging in your county.
Face to face
We have arranged face-to-face judging events in some counties that follow Department of Health guidelines for safe gatherings during COVID-19. Find out about judging in your county.
Virtual
In some counties, 4-H'ers will submit photos and/or a video for judging. As always, 4-H conference judges will evaluate them and give placings and feedback. They may do this live on Zoom, or they may use Flipgrid (an educational video sharing tool) or our judging database, FairEntry. Find out about virtual judging.
With a few exceptions, youth who have completed 6th grade and earned a blue ribbon in their local showcases are qualified to participate in 4-H statewide showcases. All qualifying youth will be contacted by local 4-H staff with details.
Volunteer at county judging events
We still need volunteers! Find out more from your local office.
