Come hear from UMN Extension educators and farmers about how they have implemented Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) on their farms. The training will be useful to any size fruit and vegetable operation, from community gardens to large commercial-scale operations.
Meetings will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month from November 2020 to March 2021 (5 sessions).
Annalisa Hultberg, Extension educator, will provide an overview and updates related to the topic, and then a farmer trainer will offer a deep–dive into their farm practices with tips and tricks about integrating food safety into their operations.
Although we will discuss the FSMA Produce Safety Rule and help you understand how it applies to you, please note that this is not a Produce Safety Rule Grower Training and sessions are not focused on the FSMA Produce Safety Rule.
One attendee at each session will be entered to win a kit with handwashing stand materials for their farm!
