The purpose of a county council is to actively involve local volunteers in developing, conducting, and evaluating the local 4-H program. The council consists of adult volunteers and youth members who work together to improve the quality of the youth, adult volunteers, and community club leaders.
Council meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every other month, with the exception of May. Meetings are held in the months of January, March, May, July, September, and November.

All meetings are held in the conference room at the Wilkin County Extension Office. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. Central Time.
