We'll start by learning about cucumbers - you can even plant your own! Then, we'll turn those cucumbers into pickles. Participants will make their own refrigerator pickles, dill pickles, bread and butter pickles, relish and more. This program is self-guided and can be completed at your own pace. Extension educators will provide instructional videos through Flipgrid for each type of pickle. We'll gather on May 17 at 7 PM to kick off our event. Learn about what to expect, how our session will work, and get to know other participants. Before you start making pickles, join us for an online informational session on July 6 at 7 p.m. In this session, we will discuss food preservation safety, basics of canning and the equipment you'll need to preserve pickles. A Zoom link will be provided to registered participants. Our program will wrap up on August 15, when we'll meet on Zoom at 7 PM to talk about our favorite pickles and reflect on our experience.
