Washington County Garden tour

Saturday, July 20

pink day lilies in a garden

The University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener volunteers in Washington County present their first annual Learn and Grow with Us Garden Tour. This tour features seven spectacular gardens in the Lake Elmo and Stillwater area.

The self-guided tour features extensive gardens designed, created and maintained by Master Gardener volunteers who live in Washington County, as well as the RCS Giving Garden which supports Valley Outreach, and the Fairest Garden — a demonstration garden at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

You'll receive a tour booklet and access to food trucks, the Garden Gifts Market featuring hand-made garden crafts, and recommended gardening books for purchase.

Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and share resources on topics including watering wisely, landscape design, composting, growing vegetables, crop rotation and companion planting, pollinator-friendly and native plants, pruning trees and shrubs, prairie restoration, and much more!

The majority of the gardens are handicapped accessible. All proceeds help support the Washington County Master Gardener community programs.

Admission includes entry to all seven gardens, tour booklet with garden descriptions, locations with driving instructions and on-site demonstration details.

The tour will be held rain or shine.
