Understanding neonicotinoid use in Minnesota agriculture - online
Used on more than 11 million acres across Minnesota each year, neonicotinoid (“neonic”) seed treatments play a significant role in modern agricultural pest management. The effectiveness of widespread use and environmental impacts raises important questions.
The Minnesota Neonic Forum will bring together University researchers, farmers and conservation professionals to share current data and on-the-ground perspectives on the efficacy, risks, benefits and tradeoffs of neonic use.
Hosted by the Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships, a program of University of Minnesota Extension, the event aims to provide clear, research-based information to support informed decisions that balance agricultural productivity, economic viability, and environmental health.
