For many farm families, they are experiencing something that is hard to explain to others. It’s hard to explain to even themselves. Join us for this webinar as we examine farming in Minnesota through the lens of ambiguous loss. Building on the work of Dr. Pauline Boss, we will discuss how ambiguous loss is unique in farming and how these businesses and families can find a path forward in the face of adversity. Facilitators Jenifer K. McGuire, PhD, MPH is a professor of family social science and Extension specialist at the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on the health and well-being of transgender youth and gender non-conforming young people.  Emily Krekelberg grew up on her family’s dairy farm near Le Sueur, Minnesota. She works for University of Minnesota Extension as the Extension educator for farm safety & health. Her farm safety & health programming focuses on grain bin safety, livestock safety and farmer mental health.  America/Chicago public
