Preserving Your Harvest

As summer begins to wind down, our gardens are far from idle as they are abundant
with the fall harvest. Food preservation is a major component in being able to enjoy
the spoils of your garden for months to come. Join Extension Educators Mercedes
Moffett and Troy Salzer, along with Master Gardener Kathy Rahkola, as we discuss
the basics of food preservation.

Learn the importance of what should be preserved in what way, why it's important,
and watch live demonstrations of a hot water bath and a pressure canner. We’ll talk
about the new concentrations of vinegar that are on the market and what that means for your canning plans.

Free testing of pressure canner gauges will be available.
