Pork Quality Assurance (PQA) Plus provides a framework for significant, relevant food safety standards and improved animal well-being. Many pork packers require producers providing pigs to them be PQA Plus certified along with any family members or employees working in the barns with them.
Pork Quality Assurance Plus (PQA+) certification training includes time for the exam.
PQA Plus certification is good for 3 years, therefore producers need to be re-certified every 3 years to keep their certification current.
