Pesticide safety precertification: Categories A/E/L/P- online

Precertification workshops help new pesticide applicators prepare for the certification exam. Take the online Canvas course at your own pace. You must schedule certification testing with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture after taking the course.

  • A: Core
  • E: Turf and Ornamental
  • L: Mosquito, Black Fly, Tick Pest Control
  • P: Vertebrate Pest Control

Audience

New pesticide applicators who need to certify in 2026, or currently licensed applicators who want to add a new license category.

Cost

$100 for each category. You may choose one or more categories at registration.

Registration

Registration closes December 1, 2026.

The Register button goes to the registration page. The registration page will provide more information about each workshop, including fees, deadlines, options, and refund and cancellation policies.

About self-paced online training

  • The link to access your course in Canvas can be found in your receipt email. You will use your guest account (email address) and the password you created during registration to log in to the course.
  • No refunds are available after the purchase of an online course.
  • Only one registered user is allowed per course.
  • You will have course access until December 31, 2026, regardless of when you purchase it.
